Day 63 of 100

Tonight I posted on Instagram an image that was a short list of Daily Choices that we can each live by.

Progress over Perfection was one of these choices that really resonated with me. It also got me thinking about the phrase "Be Your Best". I think this phrase can very possibly get confused with perfection and so, I wanted to clear that up. I wanted to be clear on what Being Your Best means in the way that I speak about it.

When we listen to what our body needs in each moment and just follow that without fighting it and thinking that it needs to be different; then we move into being our best. From there we recharge, from there we can move forward with whatever it is we need to do.

In order to be our best and perform at our optimum level we must start from the core of who we are. We must start from pure inspiration and move from the true feeling of love for what we do.

Yet, for many, they operate from a space of wanting to achieve something in order to “get” something from the outside world, whether that be significance, recognition, acceptance or love.

To be a better human is one of the simplest tasks on earth. Being a better human starts with the type of energy you’re putting out into the world.

So is there a particular way of living and being that helps us to radiate a happier, more uplifting energy to those around us?

Day 58 of 100

Today was a bit special for me because it was my birthday.
And it got me thinking, isn’t it funny that when it’s a special day we give ourselves permission to do what we truly love and makes us feel alive. Yet, on other days we get caught up in “should-ing” ourselves.

Today’s message explores this idea and brings into awareness why it is we feel we cannot achieve peace of mind on a daily basis.

Today was one of those days where it felt like it was me against the world - well at least me against the thoughts in my world. Because that’s predominantly where our pain comes from; the thoughts in our mind that are trying to convince us that we must “act”, “do” or “fix” a given circumstance because we don’t yet know how to navigate our way through it.
