You can either be halfway up the mountain or you can be half way down.
It really depends on how you look at it.
And how YOU choose to perceive it will determine whether you’re a half empty or glass half full kinda person.
Perception, if we’re not careful can cause us to become tangled in a monotonous mental spiral (if we allow it).
On the other hand, if we can recognise that maybe it’s our own fear, insecurity or anxiety influencing the way we’re perceiving the present moment - then we have a choice. Upon realising that this mental perspective is illusory and not necessarily true, we can step out of the uncomfortable perception of what we 'think' is currently happening and open ourselves up to what truly is.
The next time you’re feeling shaky, stuck or consumed by something, ask yourself, if I were in a lighter and more joyful headspace, would I still perceive this circumstance the same way?
If the answer is no, it could be a sign that you’re just making sh.t up in your head!
